Southside’s dining options just got a whole lot more interesting with the imminent launch of Flat Iron Deluxe at the Southside by Ovolo boutique hotel, opening on May 15.

Restaurateur Johnny Glover and executive chef Aarik Persaud of The Butchers Club are the masterminds behind this new all-day-dining concept, joining Soho siblings Flat Iron Steak and – launched just two months ago – Flat Iron Burger. Though a new kid on the burger block, Flat Iron Burger’s patties have already become the talk of the town.

These juicy, flavour-packed burgers are also up for ordering at Flat Iron Deluxe. We’re particularly excited to see the return of the burger tower that is the Double Happiness (HKD198), which first graced Hong Kong’s burger scene a decade ago.

Steak is another signature option at the Southside restaurant. The Australian Black Angus flat iron steak, priced at HKD158 for seven ounces during lunch and HKD208 for 11 ounces at dinner, is dripping in garlic-herb butter and served with beef-fat chips and salad.

The enticing menu options continue with the likes of the buffalo chicken parmo (HKD208), fish and chips (HKD158/HKD208), hot wings (HKD88), and Moreton Bay bugs (HKD398/kg).
