The MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong & Macau 2024 includes a record 79 starred restaurants in Hong Kong, with six restaurants claiming new stars at March’s awards ceremony
The 16th edition of the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong & Macau 2024 ceremony on Mar. 14 saw the awarding of a record 79 restaurants in Hong Kong, as compared to 2023’s hot list where 78 restaurants clinched awards.
Hosted at the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau in the city’s glitzy casino hub, a litany of Hong Kong chefs and restaurants were victorious in the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong & Macau 2024, with many relieved to retain or upgrade their stars.
Amongst five new additions to the MICHELIN Guide for Hong Kong in 2024, Cristal Room by Anne-Sophie Pic, Feuille (also newly receiving a Green Star), Mora, Racines, and The Legacy House each clinched one star. No new restaurants were awarded two Michelin stars, but Noi saw a promotion from one star in 2023’s guide. As compared to last year, no restaurants saw a promotion or awarding of three stars.
The MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong & Macau 2024 awarded the special Young Chef Award to Ming-fai Choi of Michelin-starred Mora. The Sommelier Award was bagged by Shinya Goshima of Michelin-starred GODENYA, and the esteemed Service Award was given to Lydia Yung of Michelin-starred The Legacy House.
