A real bargain considering the breadth and quality of the food on offer, we recommend heading to Casa Lisboa within the next month to experience the long-standing Central eatery’s limited-time Taste of Portugal menu.

The six-course dinner menu (HKD388 pp), available until Jul. 18, has been crafted by chef Rodolfo Vicente to celebrate Casa Lisboa’s 15 years as a top Portuguese restaurant in Hong Kong.

The menu begins with four sharing starters offering classic Portuguese flavours – Algarvia salad starring beetroot, codfish cakes, Bulhão Pato clams, and grilled Ibérico pluma – followed by a choice of main. For us, it’s a toss-up between the slow-roasted suckling pig with its glorious crispy skin and rich meat and duck rice, hearty and comforting.

If all that isn’t enough Portuguese goodness, for dessert chef Rodolfo delivers unlimited servings of bolo de bolacha to the table. A cross between Macau’s serradura pudding and Italian tiramisu, bolo de bolacha is made with coffee-soaked Marie biscuits layered with buttercream and chocolate. You’ll definitely want seconds of this one!
