Formerly a women’s-only drinking haunt, XX bar inside Rosewood Hong Kong has reopened and will host a takeover by top Sydney cocktail bar Maybe Sammy to welcome every drinker from 9PM on Mar. 23–24.
Head bartenders Stefano Catino and Stefano Filardi from Maybe Sammy will make their way to Tsim Sha Tsui for the takeover on both nights to deliver a curated cocktail experience reminiscent of the Roaring 50s. The takeover is part of a long line of events hosted at Rosewood Hong Kong to celebrate the hotel’s fifth anniversary.
Maybe Sammy was classed as the best bar in Australasia at The World’s 50 Best Bars 2023. The bar specialises in glamorous, chic, 20th-century American-style cocktails, reminiscent of the heyday of Hollywood.
XX closed during the pandemic and reopened briefly as members-only, password-denying bar Maison Le Cercle. Returning to its former self, the bar is back with a vengeance, with cocktails priced from HKD170 and everyone now welcome.
