For those readers looking for a bargain deal with your Japanese food, head to Right Hand Yaki (二把手) for Hong Kong’s cheapest skewers, priced from just HKD12!

The izakaya is located down Tit Hong Lane opposite Central Market, a quaint location for post-work dinners or long weekend meals. Their second location is on Nathan Road in Mong Kok.

The menu features close to five dozen skewer varieties, from vegetable to beef, pork, and chicken. Starting at HKD12, diners can enjoy grilled corn, courgette, mushroom with sauce, pineapple, and beef rolls with scallion. Each order comes with two skewers.

For HKD22 and HKD27, chicken heart, chicken skin, chicken intestines, and chicken trachea can be ordered, along with picks of green pepper, cumin pork breast, and salmon. The prices go up to HKD42 for select yakitori, a bargain in comparison to other izakayas around town.

Right Hand Yaki is one of a select few restaurants in Hong Kong that also sells sushi tacos. Choose from minced fatty tuna (HKD42), roast salmon (HKD34), and roast crab stick (HKD32) tacos, amongst others.
