Spicy, sour, sweet, and salty, Sip Song on Repulse Bay Beach suits the end of your hiking adventures this summer with a menu good for refuelling after you have sweated it out on the Southside of Hong Kong.
The casual Thai eatery is located at one end of The Pulse, open daily from 11:30AM to 5PM and 6PM to 10PM. Their menu is conducive to lazy lunches and dinners, catering to those lounging about on the beach or finishing a hike from Tai Tam, Deep Water Bay, Wan Chai Gap, or Wong Nai Chung Gap.
Their som tum thai (HKD95) green papaya salad, sue rong hai (HKD135) beef skewers, phad kee mao gai (HKD155) drunken-style spicy noodles with chicken, and krapow gai kai dao (HKD155) spicy stir-fried minced chicken with Thai basil have just the right touches of protein and spice to get the blood flowing.
And because you have been good and have already sweated out all the alcohol from the weekend, you should also treat yourself to a cocktail. We recommend the TBC (HKD90) with gin, ginger beer, Thai basil, lavender, lime, and honey or, for an extra kick, Tom Yum (HKD95), a mix of kaffir lime gin, lemongrass, coconut, lime, and bird’s-eye chilli.
