After 18 years of operating Southside, Pizza Express is closing down their Stanley location on Aug. 18.

The fifth restaurant to open in the Pizza Express chain in Hong Kong, the British pizza brand has since experienced waning local and tourist consumption in the quaint Southside neighbourhood following the pandemic.

A press statement on social media and the Pizza Express website reads, “Goodbye never mark[s] the end, but rather a new beginning! Our Stanley branch will be closing its doors on 18 August 2024. Your support has meant the world to us, and we want to say a big THANK YOU!”

To honour long-time fans of the pizza brand, Pizza Express is providing a HKD50 discount to those dining at their Times Square and One Island South outlets upon a minimum spending of HKD250.
